What is unfolding is nothing less than a fundamental transformation of the world's energy infrastructure.  Over $148 billion in new funding entered the sustainable energy sector globally in 2007, up 60% from 2006, according to a 2008 report by leading clean energy analyst, New Energy Finance.  It further projects that investment is expected to reach $450 billion a year by 2012, rising to more than $600 billion a year between 2020 and 2030. The sector's overall performance during 2007 and 2008 sets it on track to achieve these levels. There is now a strong core of demand for clean energy based on firm mandates: renewable portfolio standards, renewable fuel standards, building codes, efficiency regulations and the like. There are also markets where clean energy can provide strong economic returns, even in a period of lower energy prices, recessive economic conditions and a global credit crunch. Generally, these markets are underwritten by a web of regulation and government support — direct investments, feed-in tariffs, green certificates, subsidies, tax credits, carbon finance and so on — and this will be the case for some time. At a time when the global economy faces unprecedented challenges from high energy prices, depleted natural resources, volatile sources of foreign oil, record deficits, and unprecedented environmental and security challenges, clean energy offers the promise to be the next big engine of business and economic growth. At stake are trillions of dollars in economic opportunity and prosperity for those at the forefront of this next growth and investment opportunity.

Developing and commercializing clean energy technology is a formidable task given the complexity and early growth stage of the industry.  EnTech helps to accelerate the growth and success of entrepreneurial companies through their various stages of development via an array of business development services and resources. These vital services give companies a strong competitive advantage over other clean energy startups and early-stage companies, thereby reducing risk to its investors.

EnTech serves as a valuable resource to investors. Ventures and projects are pre-screened, thoroughly assessed, effectively valued, and properly developed in line with investor expectations and capitalization- stage appropriateness.   Resultant enterprise business/financial plans are consistently formatted to provide investors with necessary and predictable investment consideration information. In short, we do the time-consuming initial “heavy lifting” (resulting in only quality investment opportunities) so investors can focus on the task of critical investment decision making.  

The EnTech Development/Capitalization Model

EnTech’s business model includes the formation of two clean energy funding mechanisms: 1) the  EnTech Capital Development Fund I; and 2) the EnTech Capital Global Alliance (the “Alliance”). (See EnTech Development/Capitalization Model below.) The EnTech Development Capital Fund receives investor funding commitments for seed and start-up funding which are strategically allocated to investment-worthy clean energy ventures. Once the necessary development process is completed, the companies or projects are then presented on a “first-look” basis to the Alliance investor(s) that provided the seed and/or start-up funding. The ventures are either then provided with next-stage funding within the Alliance, or are appropriately presented to investors outside the Alliance Network.
